Pleasant Stay with a Few Room Comfort Issues My wife and I booked a couple of days at Stanton House Hotel for a peaceful and quiet break, and overall, we had a lovely stay. We opted for a Superior Room, though to be honest, the main difference from a standard double seemed to be that the bed and room were slightly larger. While the room was clean, it didn’t quite live up to the “superior” label. It was very warm, even with the heating off, due to hot water pipes running through the radiators. The furniture felt a bit tired—one chair had a loose leg, and the carpet was lifting at a join. The mini fridge worked, but it had clearly seen better days: it was a little dirty, and the door seal was broken. The room itself felt a bit drab—a few touches like artwork or even a plant (fake or real) could go a long way in making it more inviting. The bathroom was quite cramped. The bath looked old, the taps were stiff and coming loose, and the toilet was awkwardly placed in a small cubby near the door. It actually moved when you sat on it, and there was barely space to use it comfortably. That said, the hotel grounds and scenery were beautiful. We had a stunning view from our room window, which made a big difference to our stay. The restaurant service was excellent—friendly and professional—and the food was great, especially breakfast, which was freshly cooked and of very good quality. Definitely one of the highlights. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but the room could use a bit of TLC to bring it up to the “superior” standard expected.

Booked a hotel through Wowcher. The location and the hotel was beautiful calm and just relaxing. Had the dinner with them which was really good and tasty. The best thing is the chicken they offer in menu for dinner or lunch is halal which was brilliant. You should still check before ordering. Few downsides were the amenities were quiet less in room specially they charge for a Dental kit. No room slippers. But apart from that it was really good stay. Loved the stay.

We were here for a couple of days and enjoyed the stay. Initially was a bit worried as we drove past an industrial estate to get there but needn't have worried as the hotel was set in it's own grounds. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the room; although small; was well enough equipped. The evening meal was ok, and the full English breakfast we opted for(the room came with continental breakfast included) was plentiful. All in all a pleasant stay.
