I stayed at Star Residences for the second time, and if I ever return to KL, it definitely won’t be the last! The apartments are beautiful, well-equipped (you’ll even find a washer and dryer), and very clean (fresh towels are provided daily). The building has two swimming pools — one large pool perfect for swimming, along with a hot tub, and another smaller one at the very top of the building, offering an incredible view of the entire KL skyline and the Twin Towers. There is also a gym and a restaurant in the building, where breakfast is available. Check-in was smooth and took place right in the lobby, and early check-in/late check-out is also possible.
The best thing @star suites was the central location and the pool. Our suite was good, but could be cleaner. The breakfast is not good. Better eat breakfast somewhere in the city. Here is our breakfast experience: We were served cold coffee. The heaters on the buffet were off and therefore, the eggs and beans and all the other meals were also cold. Additionally we had some hygienic concerns, as we saw staff cutting raw meet next to the buffet while cutting watermelon on the same small place. No clean glasses were provided for juice or water. Many tables were dirty and the buffet was dirty too.
Location superb, views from roof top incredible, pools are fabulous. Accommodation is of a good standard but we booked a 2 bedroomed apartment (for our family of four). First apartment the main double bed was in what I can describe as a cupboard (no window) we complained and we were moved to another two bedroomed apartment, this time two bedrooms with windows. Even in the next apartment the strange thing is that they have put the two twin beds in the larger room and squished a double in what looks like it’s designed as an office as there’s an internet point. Other weird thing that wasn’t practical staying with our young family as the main bathroom and toilet are reached through the kids room and not via the master bedroom or main living area. Made it not very practical. Location great but not designed for family or group stays.
