Star World International Hotel

Interesting rooms decoration. Good location, near the CBD and shopping area. Also, pretty close to 2 metro stations. Breakfast is served in the bedrooms only and offer 2 options (western or Chinese style breakfast). No restaurant service. Rooms are not perfectly cleaned, with lots of dust on top of some furniture (except the bathrooms which were spotless). Entrance to the hotel is made via a back street. Stuff has a very limited English knowledge.

Great place to stay when in Sanlitun. The location is impeccable, right in the heart of Sanlitun. Tai Koo Li and SOHO are just a few minutes away. The hotel is difficult to find from the main road, and the staff cannot help you with that as they do not speak English. Having said that, they will try their best to help you. I would especially like to call out Kiki at the reception, who was very warm and helpful. The hotel has no facilities except bedrooms. But should not be a problem if you know your way around, as everything from bars to supermarkets are just a few minutes away.

Maybe it's Chinese thing but they don't know how to make western breakfast. Can you imagine cold bacon, crunchy eggs and plastic cups for orange juice? It's best to avoid breakfast at all. Also carpets on the hallway scream for replacement. They are dirty and they simply stink. Room was ok if not the smell but it is not worth the money paid.
