We were in Rome for the jubilee. Location is perfect for visits to St Peter's and visits to the Vatican. Room was ready upon arrival in late afternoon. Room was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job of cleaning early each day. This was great for our returns in early afternoon for rest to get out of the heat (visited in June). The breakfast was very good, and the cappuccino was excellent. Thank you for a great stay.
“Good option near the Vatican” Situated on a quiet side street in close proximity to the Vatican City, perfect for those who plan to visit the Sistine chapel early in the morning (or to take in beautiful sights of St Peter’s Square/Basilica in the evening)… Our Deluxe double room is surprisingly spacious — 2 separate small balconies w views of top of churches), plus a large bathroom equipped w a bidet & soaking tub. Suggestions: to improve on in-suite amenities (hotel offers only 1 single bottle of water on first night, but not on subsequent nights)… weak water pressure in the shower… providing complimentary selected snacks/fruits would be welcome too! Solid 4.5 stars luxury hotel considering its prime location & matching price. This is nevertheless a good option especially for people planning their visits around the Vatican.
I would NOT recommend staying at this Hotel. My mother has been travelling internationally for over 40 years and this was by far the worst experience she has had. The staff were incredibly rude and demeaning. My mom was awaiting our check in time when a staff member yelled at her. Instead of calmly explaining what they were needing and wanting, they yelled at my mom and asked her to get out. To be treated this way as a paying guest but just as a human in general was awful. Absolutely abhorrent behavior on their end and there was no apology. We left without even checking in after that experience. There are far better hotels with the same location and warmer, friendlier staff. I recommend spending your money elsewhere.
