Stay Alfred at Varsity on K

This was an amazing location for an amazing price. It was great to have an entire apartment versus a small hotel room for less $. The Metro is less than a 5 minute walk, as is a 7-Eleven, the hospital (you never know), the farmer's market and a couple of restaurants. For just a few more feet, there's a convenient Whole Foods. Old Georgetown is on the free bus route. The residential look made it feel like a 2nd home and was very relaxing. The residents were very friendly and helpful, as were the Stay Alfred staff. No complaints here! I highly recommend this location.

Despite verifying in advance that they could handle a late check-in, I still had a rough check-in experience that left me standing in front of Bldg with my suitcase for 15 min at midnight and unable to enter (Stay Alfred Bldg and national phones were unattended.). [minus 1-star for poor check-in experience]. Once I was finally able to follow someone else into the Bldg, things immediately went up hill. Loved the room, the building and location. Safe neighborhood, metro, restaurant and groceries all close by. Note this is NOT a full service hotel. You lose some services but gain a ton in terms of Privacy, room size, kitchen and amenities (like in-room washer/drier). King bed was great and Possibly the most comfy sofa-bed ever!!! I would definitely stay here again, as long as I am not arriving late at night. Overall-a great stay!!

Very clean apartment. Stayed for three days.Two bars of soap the size of a silver dollar didn’t last long. Enough coffee for one morning. Relatively new furniture was super uncomfortable and after walking all day through DC was not what we had hoped for. If I had to do it all over again We would probably get a good motel if pricing were the same.
