Stay in Mudgee

House very tired. Needs TLC and a freshen up. Great location and views. Gardens very pretty. Pool and tennis court clean and tidy. Beds comfy. Kitchen amenities very sparse. Dinner set missing many plates and bowls. Cupboards need a good scrub. Carpet pulling away from floor. Floor levels very uneven and already caused accidents with children. No dvd player as advertised but replaced with netflix. We brought some home movies to play so we can't see them. Very quiet retreat but spoilt if the church behind is rented and you end up with strangers walking around garden, using pool etc. Still enjoying ourselves but it could go up a notch with some care and attention to detail. Birdsong in garden in morning delightful.

Communication with the 2 girls taking the booking was extremely poor . The church wasn’t ready when we arrived, in 34deg we were told to wait 2 hours for the cleaners. After a distressing confrontation with Alex she ordered us off the property. We ended up with no accommodation as we had our dog.

DO NOT BOOK HERE- UNFAIR CANCELATION OF BOOKING! This company decided to cancel the booking the day before. They gave me 2 different grounds on canceling my booking... 1) they did not allow 3 dogs (which they did not respond to the request when I asked, then I confirmed with them that only 1 dog was coming- but they still canceled the booking. 2) There was a double booking made on another website. The person that I was dealing with did not want to talk on the phone, yet insisted to communicate via text. Each time I asked for her to confirm her availability to talk, she would not respond or pick up the call and would say that I was harassing her. Obviously she knew that they were in the wrong. They gave me a full refund- however they could not understand the inconvenience that this has caused, nor did they want or willing to help me with some form of compensation.
