My stay at Staybridge Suites in Lanham was outstanding from start to finish. I stayed there for 2 days for a business trip, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The staff was warm and welcoming, my room was spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. I loved the size of the room as well as the full-sized fridge and cook top so if you wanted to bring in and cook your own food to save some money from eating out, you have that option. Breakfast was fresh and the amount of fruit offered was definitely a plus! Another plus was the laundry room. They have washers that you can use that was included in your fee for the room. The most important thing to me was that there were no bugs!! The only downside was the room smelled a little like the persons before may have been a smoker, but honestly, that's a tiny issue in an otherwise fantastic experience. Highly recommend this hotel to both business and leisure travelers. I'll definitely be back!
The staff is the best thing about this hotel! Susanna and Roberto were amazing and helpful during breakfast. They were attentive and courteous and made sure we had anything we needed. The rooms were spacious and the kitchenette was great! There were a few things that could be updated, mainly in the shower area, but nothing that hindered our stay at all. The location is a great spot in proximity to D. C. and other attractions in Maryland. I would definitely stay again!!
At least one counter staff should be proficient in English to better serve guests. Because they couldn't speak English, they couldn't answer if they still had a manager's reception and we missed out on it. But the staff knew English enough to tell us we needed written proof of our Service animal. We had to tell them that we knew it was a violation for them to ask us for that. It's like he knew it, but he didn't think that we knew it so he tried to get it anyway. We will be reporting that. The cleaning staff is nice, especially Roberto, but they won't clean unless you ask them to. When we found out about the manager's reception, it was about 8 minutes left, but the lady refused to bring out more food. Breakfast was fair with the usual choices. The potatoes were super spicy and still raw. By the time we were able to work our way through the crowd, our food was cold. I asked if there was a microwave and the serving lady said no. So had to deal with cold food. The general manager lied on us and then laughed in my face when I was talking to him. When I asked him what was so funny, he proceeded to tell me what I was saying to him was funny. For the most part this hotel is clean and nice. Mattress broke my back every night. It has different sized lumps in it. They have a pretty facility, but they need to staff it and run it better. The management team is very rude, condescending, and standoffish. Hotel wasn't a great value compared to the rest, but was the only one with space. Our family WILL NOT be staying here again.
