Staycity Aparthotels Edinburgh West End

Very nice apartments, quite spacious. Has good connectivity to Old Town through multiple public transport or a 20 minute walk. Very close to Haymarket tram and train stations. Lots of eating and super market options nearby. Very prompt and helpful front desk. Has basement parking for £14 a night or there are some free night parking options in nearby streets, but watch out for the right bays and need to be early to grab these. Enjoyed my 15 days stay there.

Stayed here when we were participating in the Edinburgh marathon and needed somewhere close to the start. The place was perfect especially with having the kitchen which had everything we needed including the coffee machine which was very much required. The room was modern clean and spacious. Staff were helpful and there was a parking garage opposite. Would definitely stay here again.

The size is an apparent plus but unfortunately the layout and the separation of rooms makes the whole place cramped and impractical. The massive hall is such a waste of space and the bed is squeezed into a tiny room. The kitchen is handy if you want to cook some meals, but we never used it. Make sure to bring your own toiletries as they only provide soap & cheap toilet paper. There is no housekeeping which was fine for us and the 24h reception can give towels, toilet paper, take bins etc. The rooms were clean and pretty well insulated from noise. One massive con was the room temperature. It was like a sauna even with the windows constantly open and the fans were very weak. The location was fine, near Haymarket and about a 25 minute walk from the city centre.
