Staypineapple An Elegant Hotel Union Square

I loved my stay! The hotel is super cute, comfortable, and cozy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and polite. The complimentary snacks, coffee and tea pods, and bottled water were definitely a nice touch. There was an issue with the elevator, but the hotel refunded me for the inconvenience, which I really appreciated. I would definitely stay here again. The area around the hotel is good too. There were a few homeless people around, especially at night or early in the morning, but that’s pretty common across the city, so I thought it was okay. I was traveling solo and felt very safe overall.

So, to start, know that you will be on the cusp of tenderloin. There are some characters that you don’t wanna be around. But overall, they will not bother you. We were able to park on the Mason Street garage, which was generally close, and the walk wasn’t bad nor was it uncomfortable for us. And we had two toddlers. We also had a dog that the hotel welcomed with open arms. They gave us the pup package, which was very very helpful. The room was tiny, but we only needed it for sleeping so it wasn’t a big deal. The bistro was permanently closed, which sucks because I needed coffee, but also not the end of the world. The hotel staff was very kind and caring, and they made sure that we had everything we needed and asked us if we needed any extras. The complementary drinks were great because my son loved the pineapple bottles. The room was clean. Everywhere else was clean too. They do a good job here. Definitely will recommend to other friends and if we come back, we will stay there.

The lift was broken and was told it wouldn't be fixed for at least 2 weeks. With no one there to help we have to carry 2 suitcase weighing 50lbs up 7 floors The facilities at the hotel were not available at all and haven't been used since the pandemic The room was very nice and clean. The hotels reception and lobby was very nice and fresh and hairy. The location was really good being near union square was great for access to all transportation in the city
