The location of the hotel is amazing, near by are tram station and bus stop. All sightseeing are near and by best restaurants specially one of oldest restaurants more than a 100 yeas old called Delicious. Each room are named by a celebrity who stands in this hotel since 1930. I would like to thank the reception lady (I am sorry I did not get her name) she helped me to choose my anniversary cake to surprise my wife, the cake was a gift from hotel management. I would like to thank you all for this and the outstanding service during my stay at the hotel.

stayed at Cecil Hotel in Alexandria for two weeks, and while it holds a certain charm for those who love historic settings and vintage architecture, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience for me—though I had to book it for specific reasons. The hotel is located in the heart of Alexandria at Raml Station, which is ideal in terms of central access and proximity to the Corniche. However, the area is extremely busy, with constant traffic and noise, which can be tiring if you’re looking for peace and quiet. The room was generally clean, but I found the decorative bed pillows to be noticeably unclean, which gave a poor first impression. There was also a persistent old smell in the room, and the lighting was dim, creating an atmosphere that felt heavy and even a bit anxiety-inducing. honestly felt a bit depressing and added to a sense of discomfort. The air conditioning unit needs maintenance, as it was quite noisy throughout my stay—something that made sleeping a challenge on some nights. Another downside was the poor breakfast selection. I found it lacking in variety and quality, so I preferred to just take a simple cup of coffee and skip the rest most mornings. Additionally, on the weekends, there’s a nightclub inside the hotel that plays music until 3 a.m., making it impossible to get a restful night’s sleep if you’re not prepared for the noise. That said, for travelers who enjoy historical hotels and don’t mind a bit of old-world quirkiness, Cecil still has its place. But if you’re more focused on modern comfort, calm ambiance, and consistent quality, it may not be the best fit.
