Steigenberger Hotel & Spa Krems

We hosted the majority of our wedding guests here. The rooms and locations were phenomenal, and the service was almost perfect. There were a few issues regarding rooms etc with the group reservations, but the staff were efficient in rectifying the problems. The spa was great, and we received many compliments about the breakfast buffet!

We stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel & Spa Krems for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views of the vineyards were stunning, and having breakfast on the terrace was a highlight. Although the gym wasn’t very well equipped, I was still able to get in a good workout. The spa area was peaceful and the sauna and rest area was grandiose. The staff were friendly and attentive. While the bar prices were a bit steep, compared to the area, the overall experience and comfort of the hotel made our stay worthwhile. One annoying thing: The saunas are turned on at 12:00 and 15:00 o’clock. Check out is at 12:00. You can’t enjoy a morning of sauna after a workout and breakfast in the day of departure. I swam around and enjoyed the whirlpool instead.

Yes room was clean enough, location was nice, staff very friendly. However, the outdoor pool area was a disaster. We stayed on the 20th of April and it was a nice warm day to lay by the pool. Unfortunately the pool was filled with dirty murky water that we had to look at while trying to enjoy the nice day. (See pics) The least the hotel could have done is remove the rotting leaves from the pool and if not, we should have been informed that the pool is in this state as the pictures shown on booking are very misleading. We would not have booked here if we knew it was like this. Also the hotel is ‘pet friendly’ but our small dog was only allowed to stay in the room. We couldn’t even take her to the outdoor seating area. Not to mention, €49 euro per person for a buffet(!) is very expensive in my opinion. We decided to order food from outside for this reason. Again, staff was great but the management of steigenberger hotel at krems really need to get their priorities straight. Would definitely not come again.
