I can only recommend. Staff very attentive and friendly, always ready, to support. . Rooms spacious and very comfortable. Spa and pool very nice. Building is a historic building, renovated, very beautiful. Gardens also very nice.

Fantastic location for this hotel. Rooms are very spacious and nice. Breakfast is excellent a wide selection of al kinds of food. The staff at the frontdesk are very helpful. The staff at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet definitely are in need of more professional guidance. One waiter spilled gravy on my trousers and my wife’s jacket. The supervisor directly took care of the matter and dry cleaning. The next morning they seemed under staffed at breakfast. Took very long to put in my order. A lot of staff were still students making al kinds of mistakes such as serving tea without tea cup or serving coffee with a lot of coffee spilled on the plate. That’s not how it should be. When you order eggs sunny side up you get sunny side down. Last nite the bartender in the bar made some really bad cocktails they really tasted horrible. He clearly was a beginner and left all alone with no manager. He needs better training. For a 5 star plus hotel they will lose customers if they don’t step up!

The hotel is located in a fabulous location on top of the hill and in the middle of the forest. It is an historic hotel, with a lot of history and important politicians who stayed at this Grandhotel. However, the hotel seems to still leave a bit in the past and it can be perceived when walking through the corridors. The room was ok, quite spacious and with a very nice bathroom. Unfortunately, not all the details were perfect, like one of the jealousies were not working. It was also impossible to make the room fully dark, given the light coming through the curtains. The pool and the sauna area were ok, just a bit small for a hotel of this importance. Similar vibes were experienced at the breakfast, were a standard buffet is available while the options a la carte are very limited, with some different eggs choice and pancakes. Last but not least, the personnel was generally nice but, not up to the standards compared to other guests: very short check-in information compared to two different guests before us and no water offered at the check out. Moreover, the inner parking was full, and we had to use the outside “free self parking”, which is 12 € daily, with machines not accepting foreign credit cards. In a nutshell, charming hotel in a very nice location but not a full 5 stars treatment.
