We took a small lake-side house and turned it into a "camping" trip so we only used the breakfast buffet. The place is nice and well-kept and the breakfast was pretty good considering the size of the place in general. We didn't use the restaurant so I cannot say how that was. We really enjoyed: 1. The house we had was equipped with a fire-pit outside and more wood than you would ever need. The evening fires were the biggest hit for my girls. 2. Nice hiking trails close by. 3. Easy drive from Vienna but still far enough away that we felt "away" from home. 4. Staff was pretty friendly and very helpful. 5. If you decide to cook for yourself there is an adequate kitchen and a Billa store just a few minutes down the road. Overall we were very happy with our stay but there are a couple of points that kept the stars limited to "only" 4. 1. There is a train that goes by even later into the nights.... and it was RIGHT behind the little house we were in. We were active with hiking all day so we were tired enough not to care, but still you should know this. 2. For what you are getting, we felt that the cost was pretty high....

Nice hotel with good food, some home grown veg and herbs. Friendly staff.

Not recommended. The price did not reflect what you get. We paid 170€ for one night for a dusty room, packed with stuff, old mattresses, old towels, falling apart toilet and an interior that is just distasteful. If you’re already there and you booked the breakfast, run! Now! Or at least focus on the Marmelade and don’t, I repeat, don’t try the scrambled eggs, they’re horrific. The overall atmosphere of the place is the one of a hoarder. Everything is packed with stuff that does not fit together. Everywhere there is a leftover of something that was used but seems to not be in use anymore. And on top of all of that, some of the personnel have such an intense odour, that their smell makes it impossible to stay in the same room with them.
