Sterling Kodai Valley

I recently stayed at your establishment for two nights with my office team of 20 members, and I wanted to share my positive experience. The location was excellent, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were also very impressed with the food, which was delicious. Furthermore, your staff was incredibly courteous throughout our stay. I particularly want to acknowledge Mr. Prathish, who provided exceptional care and attention to our team. Sterling Kodai Valley is truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and welcoming, setting a great tone for the entire stay. The staff members were incredibly humble, polite, and always ready to assist with a smile, which made us feel right at home. The rooms were well-maintained, spacious, and exceptionally clean – housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. The peaceful ambiance and stunning views added to the overall charm of the property. Whether it was dining, room service, or just walking around the premises, everything was thoughtfully taken care of. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kodaikanal!

Sterling Kodai Valley is set in a truly beautiful location with a peaceful and scenic ambience — although not a valley view, the surroundings are still pleasant. The suite we stayed in was excellent, with modern interiors and well-maintained amenities. The property itself has great potential and a lot going for it. However, our experience with the restaurant was disappointing and marred an otherwise good stay. On the first day, we ordered chicken bowls but were served fish instead, and no starter was provided. We were told this was a mistake. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred again the next day — an unacceptable repetition. The food quality, taste, and overall service at the restaurant left a lot to be desired. While the F&B staff were polite and courteous, the service lacked efficiency and coordination. There was also no proactive housekeeping — even after a reminder, our room was not cleaned as requested. Sterling Kodai Valley has good staff and a fantastic location, but better management and significant improvements in food quality, service responsiveness, and overall operational efficiency are needed to make the experience truly memorable. The resort has great potential, and I hope to see improvements in the future.
