Sternhotel Bonn

Good hotel with spacious room. Excellent location and lot of eating options nearby. Had to wait for an hour early checkin but can’t completely blame as should have informed in advance. No AC but do provide a fan which is good backup

Very accommodating. Rooms very comfortable. My only concern was the tub/shower sides are very deep and space is narrow. But what do you want from a 400 yr old hotel?

We have stayed here for three nights. The hotel is located downtown so if you’re planning to explore Bonn this is a great location. There’s a restaurant downstairs that has a nice terrace on the central square. They serve good food and drinks. We have had breakfast there, which was always good. Right below the square the hotel is at, there’s a large underground parking lot. The hotel has no arrangement with the parking so you’ll be paying the full Eur 25.- price per day. The hotel looks and feels outdated and worn down here and there, but the rooms were clean. A major downside of this place is the noise. The place isn’t just old fashioned, the walls and doors are thin and do not insulate well against the usual sounds in a hotel such as talking people in the hall, your neighbor coming into there room, people passing with a rolling suitcase; you will literally hear everything as if it’s right next to you. This makes me rate the rooms low, it’s really way below the standard you may expect.
