Steventon House Hotel

Nice and clean hotel in the Didcot countryside, very convenient especially if you have business in Harwell. The rooms are spacious, clean, with comfortable beds and with a good bathroom. The breakfast could be improved, since it doesn't offer too many choices other than cereals and bread and butter

It’s rare to find a hotel with such a fantastic restaurant attached, so this was a real treat. The Indian cuisine was really beautifully flavoured, despite this part of the UK being about as far from the ocean as you can get on all sides, I still opted for the prawns, and they were cooked to perfection. I heard too late that they bake their own garlic naans too, so I’ll be trying those next time. The room was spacious and comfortable, the service was great too. The only thing for me that meant it didn’t get 5 stars was the lack of a cooked breakfast in the morning. But I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere in this area!

Reception desk was not staffed with no bell to ring for attention. Room on first look was good but parts were dated and needs attention: sellotape holding light fitting together, cobwebs on light, stains on the ceiling, shower cubicle in need of refresh and clean shower head. Bed was comfortable, plenty of sockets. Plenty of parking space. No lift.
