We were there the last summer. Wonderful hotel among plants and flowers. Beautiful sea with a quiet and relaxing beach, there are also a beautiful spa and a wonderful outdoor pool. Clean, beautiful and quiet apartment, waiters and staff always kind and helpful.Restaurant with a splendid view of the sea, there are greek specialties with a very particular menu, you cannot order anything that isn’t written on the menu.To visit the beautiful city of Corfu you need a car or taxi service. The hotel is located about an hour away from the airport. Greetings from Rome (Italy).
I stayed at St. George’s Bay Country Club for two weeks, it is the perfect place to stay in Corfu. From the moment you arrive the staff is warm, welcoming, and helpful. They helped us organize a car rental, gave us local recommendations and are always willing to accommodate. The restaurant is excellent and the wait staff provides 5 star service. The landscaping is breathtaking and the two pools and the spa are luxurious. Book yourself some professional massages and enjoy the saunas, steam rooms and the gym. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with all the luxuries included.
Update: Impoliteness and lying all at once! So, the Greek standards for a normal bathroom is to stay with your feet in water while sitting on toilet! Or to have certain positions in the shower in order the water not to flow… We took our shampoo and had showers at the spa everyday for 10 days (9 nights) in order to have a normal dry bathroom 😬 The only room you offered us after 3 days of complaining was a cheaper, smaller, different furnished junior suite of 36 m2 for max. 2 adults, and we’ve booked a suite for 3 adults of 45 mp at 300 euro per night! Of course we didn’t accept it and even more, you promised that a better plumber from Corfu town will come to fix the shower in the suite, in that day, which was just a big lie… I also attach a photo with the description of the room which should have garden, pool or seaviews. Anyone can google and see that Acharavi beach is full of stones, so another lie. Dangerous is the big slippery big stone at the entrance in the sea of this hotel, many customers including ourselves fell. Those fans on the terrace were a joke, even in the rarely mornings when they’ve worked. And yes, we Romanian people drink good, freshly brewed coffee, not nesscafe… So: lies, lies, lies and the worst holiday in Greece, a holiday which we have expected a whole year! 😡 Idyllic holiday: false advertising and a broken shower!!! The description of the room was misleading, as they said the rooms have garden, pool or seaviews. We’ve asked them almost 3 months before our holiday to offer us a sea view room and when we arrived there, we were given a room next to the parking and with a view at neighbours’s field and were asked for 450 euros more for a seaview!!! Even worse was that our room had a broken shower, the water was leaking all over the floor every time we used the shower. They for sure knew about this problem before our arrival.. Anyway, we have announced the reception every day and they said they will send the plumber, but nothing happened for 2 days. After 2 nights, we said the reception that it wasn’t normal to stay in a room with a broken shower at 300 euros per night, so they offered us another room, which was smaller, uglier and not renovated at all. We refused as they said that in that day or the next day, someone from Corfu town will come for sure to fix the shower cabin, in the actual room, which of course never happened, being postponed every day. So, in the end, we stayed nine nights in a room with big issues which were never fixed. The only compensation we were offered (only because I’ve insisted) was a late check-out which they said would cost 50 euros for a couple of hours! In conclusion, we were cheated, we payed a lot of money for a room with big problems. The breakfast had bad quality, same eggs and sad ham every morning, the coffee was a disgusting joke. No ventilators at the restaurant, so it was terrible hot. The beach was full of stones and the entrance in the sea was really dangerous. The resort was nice and quiet, the gardens were indeed beautiful, we also liked the spa, even if it needs a renovation. The employee were very polite, excepting the manager who didn’t even say hello to his customers!!!
