St.Olav Hotel

I found this place exceptionally charming. It lacks the shine that you'll expect of youre accustomed to chain hotels. However, it makes up for it in in character. Art adorns the walls and antique furnitiure and artifacts give the feeling of being in a period from several hundred years ago. The building has been renovated but bits and pieces have been intentionally left untouched to give you a sense for how it was originally.

Very interesting hotel, located in a charming old building. Lots of corridors, twists and turns inside, we literally got lost on our first day trying to get from our room back to the reception. But we enjoyed it, there are cool bits of furniture and paintings everywhere. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. The staff was very friendly. Would absolutely stay here again for future visits!

It was not what I was expecting from the pictures. Very far from the idea of a rustic room, very small and not space for nothing, we almost had to leave our backpack out of the room. Fridge did not work. Also the floor was not very clean. In booking says an extra fee can be charged for a dog but not specifying how much. Thinking it would be 5-10€, the surprise in the check-in was 20€. The waitress were very gently.
