The best place in Siracusa. We have stayed for 2 nights with my wife and really I haven't seen a more polite person than Giusy in all my trips to Italy. Absolutely reccommended. We had free parking right at the door and the breakfast was unique!
Beautiful rooms in convenient location, (we were able to park, for free, in the street right opposite the accommodation) The owner welcomed all 4 of us (plus dog!) and even provided a bed for the dog. She also provided a splendid breakfast with no end of little details, Very kind and welcoming. Thank you. We loved Syracuse!
The place benefits from a very tourist friendly location - you won’t need any bus or car to visit the Ortigia Island and Siracusa as well. Also, Siracusa Train and Bus Station is at 15 min walking. The rooms at Stomachion are a truly fresh air oasis in the hot air of Siracusa, for those who decide to visit in the middle of the summer (as we did: 36-41’ C ). Very suitable for family with kids, but not only. The closest beach is 5 min away and it is easy to get there. Nevertheless, I would always give up the sunny beaches of Siracusa to visit every inch of Ortigia - a great place! But: the “piece of resistance” is the host herself! i traveled a lot and I rarely met such a 250% customer oriented host! We had a lot of difficulties getting to Siracusa because of the fire incident that blocked the whole activity in Catania Airport and we were very confused related to the whole situation. Eventually, we got very late after midnight and very tired. Giusy was there to confort us and offered us the full support. She treated us from the very beginning as friends (not as clients) and she was always available for us in a very discrete and empathetic way. Oh, and the breakfast! It was a very appreciated moment of the day for my 12 yo kid. :) I am terribly sorry I don t have the right words to describe what a difference made this nice and fresh and clean and quiet place and the generosity of its host to our holiday! But we would like to come back to Stomachion and I will definitely recommend this very nice and cosy place and its wonderful host to all my friends!
