Great room close to the old town. Perfectly clean, great shower, comfy beds (although only 1 pillow per person which wasn't enough for us)

Superb heritage building just north of golden gate for the old city. Olde world building with up to date refurbishment: rain shower with warm water and good pressure, stone basin, solid floors and comfortable beds with adequate square footage. If there's a negative its small windows and a degree of street noise at night but I had no real problems there. There is no reception, this is a room only establishment and you contact the manager over WhatsApp to book new towels, sheets, whatever, and this works rather well (though do contact the venue before you arrive to set up WhatsApp.... When I arrived myself and some other residents' travel companies had not notified arrival times). Location is very good indeed with golden gate very close, bars, supermarkets and restaurants. At this price it really is unbeatable for a few nights in Split (I stayed for 9 nights). Totally recommended.

The room was nicely decorated but small, we could barely fit two medium sized suitcases without tripping over one of them. The bathroom was updated and a nice stone. The biggest issue was it being hard to find, especially at night where the sign is hard to see when driving. We didn’t get any instructions on how to enter until we found their WhatsApp number which connected us to some random company and then we waited 30 minutes before the person in charge of this one responded and gave us instructions to find a gate next to the building to go through. There is no parking or easy place to stop the car to unload luggage. Eventually the contact person provided us with info about local restaurant etc to try out. The best place to park is a lot behind the building that you get to coming around the block. It is €1 per hour in the slow season (October included). There is no housekeeping or breakfast. Like other people have mentioned, it’s not really a hotel, more like an air bnb as no one is at the reception. The internet was slow and unreliable, so not great for business travel. The location was great though.
