Strandhotel Faak

I always enjoy coming back to this hotel by the beautiful Faak am See, especially when I’m working in the area. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and each one includes access to the hotel’s private beach with its own sun loungers – a truly special feature. Breakfast is excellent – rich and varied. There’s also an outstanding restaurant next door with different delicious meals every day. The surrounding nature is stunning, and the lake is crystal clear. I highly recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway or a relaxing family vacation. Nothing but praise from me!

The place is nice, green, and clean. It is kind of noisy, as there are many small children. The restrooms are clean. The entrance is 10 euros/pers. They also have bars and restaurants - bit on the pricey side (3.8 euros for a coffee).

4 stars, for a four star hotel and a three star restaurant by the lake. The hotel is a solid three stars because it is renovated years ago and while still solid, it shows a little aging. But what it excels at is the quiet lake side, the park, the cleanliness and the location itself. All this is a top 4 star for sure, getting close to 5. The restaurant is similar. Fantastic position by the lake, friendly service, very solid food, not fancy but not bad either - great middle ground for quality and price. But it gets a 3 star (only) from me because of the plastic flowers they use to put on the tables. C'mon guys, really? This is really not necessary and it spoils the whole picture so much. Just correct this and you will do a giant step forward. :) And the toilets need some styling and renovation. They are clean and fine, just look very much like far past times - doesn't suit the hotel image.
