Strandhotel Strande

We went for dinner and Sebastian was our server. The food was great, featuring local recipes and sources. The service was excellent. Sebastian was very attentive and friendly.

Great hotel! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, house keep is impeccable. Very attentive and helpful staff all-around. The breakfast selection is very big and all quality food. The restaurant is very welcoming with great food. It is the second time I stay here and I'll surely be back if I need to stay in the area again.

We only ate lunch here so the review only refers to the dining experience, which was mediocre. The second star is for the staff which was professional, but couldn’t make up for the poor food. They also didn’t wear face masks during Covid-19, while staff in other restaurants here did. The lobster bisque was okay, but the one (!) shrimp in it was grilled hard as a rock. The lemon and tomatoe sauce linguine was overcooked and the sauce was not very tasty. It was a big serving. We also tried the grilled haddock with potatoes and sauce and it was quite bad. The fish was tasteless, as was the sauce. The potatoes were overcooked and wet. If a restaurant doesn’t know how to keep potatoes warm without making them overcooked it usually speaks loads about the rest of the dining experience, and this was no exception.
