Strandhotel Vigilante

Nice location but really dated rooms with a weird smell. Seams like they havent switched out the pillows in years, was the worst hotel pillow I’ve ever experienced.

We booked a superior room with a view but it wasn’t cleaned. Staff were as helpful as they could be but we ended up in a small very dated room with small single beds. Next day when we asked about a refund for the difference in cost (30-40) we were offered 10 euro. The replacement room was not cleaned well either. The restaurant was good.

This hotel is definitely not a 4-star establishment; it only deserves 2 or 3 stars at most. The rooms are outdated, and there are no refrigerators or bottled water provided. The shower rooms are old and streaked, and the rooms themselves are very small. Additionally, everything on the balcony is covered with moss. The hotel advertises a beautiful photo featuring a view of the sea and beach, but what you actually see are construction sites and excavators on the beach to the left. The sound insulation is nonexistent; if you're hoping to sleep in during your day off, you won't be able to, as the cleaning begins at 7 a.m., and you can hear every step of the maids. If you manage to sleep in and want your room cleaned after 12:00 p.m., you won’t be able to do so because the maids stop working after that time. While the booking information claims that breakfast is included, you will actually be asked to pay an additional 21 euros per person for breakfast at the reception. Although the restaurant is advertised to be open until 11:00 p.m. (with the option to reserve a table until then), the kitchen actually closes at 9:00 p.m., leaving you unable to order anything other than drinks after that time.
