Strandhotellet

We have stayed at this hotel twice and it is arguably one of the best local non branded hotels that I have experienced. There is now one special wow factor - it’s just the fact that all works from A-Z. Great location, ample parking, clean hotel, decent sized rooms with comfortable bathroom, balcony, inclusive minibar offering, very nice and good quality restaurant - and breakfast! Wow (that was a wow factor for me) good decent spread yet all items of very high quality - it was a true pleasure to start the day with such a breakfast!

Stayed here for three nights as a couple while traveling all around Denmark. To sum it up: the best hotel experience we have had anywhere in Denmark - by far! The staff was welcoming, helpful and very friendly. We felt at home right away. Everything at the hotel seems to be done with great care and attention to detail. It is easy to recognize that everything is done to meet the guests‘ full satisfaction. The hotel itself is beautiful - a perfect combination of modernity and classical charm. The room was quite spacious and very cozy, the bathroom simply stylish with its oldschool-style mountings. One thing to definitely mention here: we slept on a REAL bed - which was awesome after a few rough nights at other hotels. The balcony was fairly large and equipped with chairs and loungers. Everything was clean and taken great care of. The garden in the atrium was well-kept. The lobby and the restaurant feature fireplaces, adding to the overall cozy atmosphere. Two service highlights that we have never encountered before in a hotel anywhere: the quite opulently stocked minibar was free of charge and restocked every single day (!); the small but cozy wellness-area was also free of charge and perfectly organized with lots of clean extra towels and complimentary cooled drinking water. Regarding the hotel‘s location, it sits right at the heart of Blokhus, only a few minutes walk from miles and miles of sandy beaches. The hotel has its own well-kept parking lot and we have never had any trouble finding a spot for our vehicle. Now for the most important part: breakfast was high-quality and consisted of carefully selected items. Fresh fruit, strawberries, some of the best cold smoked salmon, a variety of freshly baked bread and eggs prepared to order. The best breakfast service we have had in all of Denmark. We ate dinner once at the restaurant and were greeted with a free glass of champagne to start off the evening. The food was fantastic, great combination of flavors and ingredients, fresh seafood and meats. Rather fits the category of fine dining, hence the rather steep pricing. But it was worth every penny. Overall, we could not have been happier with our stay at Strandhotellet and would definitely come back again. Thanks to the whole team - we had a wonderful time! Keep up the good work!

The service is unbelievable weak in restaurant. If you wanna play the five star game you gotta act like the five star game. This is at most three stars The place is nice and we support it since we have a holiday Home here and blokhus For the service is a disgrace come on guys get your act together
