A wonderful hotel. Vegesack is a beautiful part of Bremen, full of life, friendly people, good food and interesting things to see. The hotel itself is lovely, the room was comfortable and well appointed, though could use a bit of fresh paint here and there. The food in the hotel was also excellent, the chef takes great pride in his work and personally came to see me if an option was unavailable to provide an alternative. The staff are incredibly friendly, and were willing and able to put up with my middling German and my English when needed. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway.
It looks like at hotel build in the 1960ties. And later renovated. Very close to the ferry crossing. We were invited to store our 6 bicycles in the ball room with wooden floors. I get the impression that the staff prefer German over English. Breakfast was organized with one-way signs and a buffet where the kind staff lady gave us what we wanted for breakfast.
The hotel is partly shut down, or it feels like it during this low season, extremely sparingly breakfast - but tasty never the less, and just enough to make you not feeling left out. Clean room, quiet area - I had a great stay once again...
