Style Hotel

Excellent location within walking distance of main center city attractions. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Double glazing seals traffic noise effectively thought the tram's vibrations and rumble are still noticable. Word of caution - house keeping is using excessive (!!!) amount of fragrance spray. I'm not sensitive to smells and still it gave me terrible headache each time I entered the room. No complimentary water bottles thought its an expensive 5 🌟 hotel.

Really bad experience. Check in took forever because the one girl at the counter has to take each guest to their rooms to show them how the lights work. Toiletries smell awful. On the TV there are hundreds of channels in Arabic and Pharsi but not one channel that is suitable for kids is available. They charge the use of a baby cot, cofee and tea on the room which is usually complimentary in other hotels. The rooms are not soundproofed, we could hear everything that happened on the street, ad the wifi speed is atrocious if you manage to stay connected long enough. To their credit the staff is super nice and courteous and the rooms are ample.

Don't be fooled by its 5 stars, it definitely doesn't deserve them. I've stayed in better 3 stars or hostels, even! Firstly, the rooms are small, it's super ran down, furniture's old and half broken. Very old style and tacky decoration. It seems to have a very modern TV hidden in a mirror but when you turn it on you can barely see anything and it's so small. Aircon doesn't work properly and the room was boiling. They overcharge for everything!! I paid €30 for breakfast and it turned out it was only continental breakfast and had to pay extra to get some cooked eggs! You get ONE miserable free bottle of water and TWO Nespresso capsules complimentary the first night. After that, you have to pay for everything. They don't even put a new bottle of water after making the room. I mean, what hotel charges for water, tea and coffee nowadays. It's a given. There isn't even a master switch for the lights, instead you have 4 switches next to the bed but these don't turn off all of the lights and have to walk around the whole room trying to figure out what switch turns off what, until you manage to turn everything off. Oh, but the wardrobe has the light on permanently! Not very energy efficient if you'd ask me. You get a massive jacuzzi in the bathroom that doesn't have a shower plate so if you don't want to have a jaccuzzi, you can't shower either! In any case, the jaccuzzi didn't work! No hot water. They tried fixing it but they failed. Didn't even get offered to change rooms when there were lots of free ones! Oh, and don't get me started on the toiletries and how bad they smell... The whole thing is ridiculous. To make things even worse, my boyfriend came to stay with me on my last night there, and they charged us and extra €80!! I understand there's a surcharge for double occupancy, but €80 for an additional person just one night is ridiculous. On the bright side, as I feel bad for not saying anything positive, the hotel is in a good location.
