Suasor is the perfect place to stay for exploring the east coast of Sicily. The gardens are in immaculate condition and the pool area is very relaxing. We stayed for a week and couldn't have asked for anything better. The hosts are really helpful and always there for any advice. Our double room was well equipped and we put together a few meals that we enjoyed on our terrace. The town of Acireale is about 10 minutes drive away and offers a large amount of restaurants and bars. We would love to come back as we had an amazing time
Excellent Luxurious very Affordable prices for living like a millionaire in California Super clean and modern Very friendly hosts Pets friendly Superb connection with Catania the train station at the doors 20 min to the centre and by car by highway Close to Etna as well with outstanding views on lava flow at night Large lemon garden and swimming pool Lovely grass Perfect for families More than recommended
We stayed for three nights, and the host is a friendly man who explains everything well and talks passionately about the sights in the area. However, we were a little suspicious beforehand because he reacted rather condescendingly to even the most positive reviews. The (otherwise very good) information folder also includes clear instructions on how to rate the property. That's fine, but to start talking about that in the first five minutes feels odd. I wasn't bothered by the train station at all, but saying you don't hear anything about it isn't true. The pool itself was fine, but the edges and tiles showed a significant lack of maintenance. It was simply not fresh. The tables and chairs by the pool also showed signs of wear and tear, especially orange rust spots. Not the look you'd hope for. The view is beautiful, and it looks out onto a stately, abandoned building that I've always been fascinated by. We were quite shocked when the workers from the plantation adjacent to the garden started throwing crates around HARDLY for several minutes, every day. It felt like a building had collapsed. That doesn't contribute to a peaceful atmosphere at all. The cottage itself is cozy behind a beautiful rosemary hedge. It has a wonderful scent and is beautifully made. The interior is sleek, and the kitchen is beautifully designed. We did think it needed better cleaning, unfortunately. There were mosquito blood stains, limescale, and dust. The gas/carbon monoxide detector also went off loudly 6-7 times at random times, even at night. It doesn't feel safe. It was all okay, and we don't really understand the many reviews that give it a 9. It's a fine stay for the price, but I wouldn't give it a higher rating than 6.5.
