Sublime Comporta lives up to its name! This was my second visit, and somehow it was even more magical than the first. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed not just as a guest, but as part of a serene, soulful retreat that feels like home. The vibe here is very unique: relaxed, elegant, and effortlessly warm. The surroundings are breathtaking, and the energy is unlike any other place. What makes the experience unforgettable, though, is the incredible team. Nicole, in particular, went above and beyond to make every moment special and memorable. Every ask we had, was met with hospitality. The team’s attention to detail and desire to make our stay perfect was evident in every interaction. Whether it was arranging a last-minute activity or simply remembering our preferences, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Sublime Comporta isn’t just a hotel, it’s a feeling, a memory, a place I carry with me long after I leave. I already can’t wait to return to this peaceful haven. Thank you for making it feel like home.
We arrived at Sublime Comporta after dark but felt immediately at home when we walked in. The resort is cozy, warm, and inviting! We were so late for checking in that instead of checking out our room first, we beelined over to the restaurant, as we were pretty hungry and tired. A lovely hostess greeted us, and the waitstaff was also extremely friendly. They had great suggestions for food for us to try and wine to match our choices. We then had the real treat of getting to our bio pool suite room. It was beautiful! While some people probably would not enjoy the sound of frogs all night, we loved it! It was super relaxing, and before long, we were out cold and had the dreamiest sleep. We also had the opportunity to check out their beach (about 10 minutes away from the hotel). They have a complimentary bus that will take you there and back. We could not eat at the beach club (they were full, and we didn't realize we needed reservations so far in advance), so we had some wine at the bar while gazing at the beach and water. Although we were only there for two days, it was a relaxing experience and a great stopover between our vacation destinations.
The hotel grounds are really beautiful and peaceful. The pool area and common spaces look great and the food is very good. The staff is also amazing. Everyone we met was kind, helpful, and friendly. But the rooms were a big disappointment. Ours was small and plain, with almost no decoration. It looked more like a small New York apartment or a basic Marriott room than what you’d expect from a hotel this expensive. The linens felt like the kind you might buy on Amazon, not soft or special. For how much the hotel costs, the rooms should be much nicer. Also, the beach is a 10-minute shuttle ride away, which we knew, but the shuttle only leaves once an hour. This is a beach town and most people go to the beach during the day, so it doesn’t make sense. If you miss the shuttle, you have to wait another hour, which is not what you’d expect at a hotel like this. The setting is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, but the rooms and beach access really took away from the overall experience.
