Amazing location and the customer service really put it over every other hotel. We arrived and they upgraded us as Bonvoy members. When we realized it was going to rain the next day, Mai switched our massages to the rainy day so we could enjoy the good weather. Nana found us an incredible sushi restaurant and brought over an origami book for our guest who was 4 at lunch and Yoshikaka was wonderful in the restaurant. Truly felt as if we were the only guests. Highly recommend without reservation!
Exceptional. The grounds, the location: breathtaking. The staff: above and beyond. Rooms are perfectly nice, but admittedly you come here for everything else. When my wife and I arrived she was feeling under the weather. We happened to mention during check-in our first order of business would be trying to find an English speaking clinic - the staff took it upon themselves to call ~6 different places to confirm English speaking and availability. Additionally when we were leaving the hotel to go to our next stop in our trip (a hotel downtown for a different experience) - they offered their hotel taxi. (FYI They have complimentary service from the hotel to Kyoto Station. They overheard us talking about an uber to our next hotel and they said “can you cancel the Uber?”. They talked to the driver of the taxi, packed the car for us, and walked us out with a fond farewell. Shout out to associate Tunil! Felt like a goodbye hug while leaving a beloved family members house.) Don’t miss out on the Happy Hour in the cafe with the view over Oi river. Also want to praise to the private Onsen experience that you can book. Very romantic, clean, and beautiful. So sad to leave this place and cannot wait to return. If you’re looking for a wonderful view, with a staff focused on your happiness, with exceptional Japanese grounds: look no further. This is it.
We had a great experience in Suiran for my wife's 30th birthday! This is also one of our dream hotel. Sunil, Yuki and Yuko are extremely good and considerate, helped me a lot to prepare some suprises for my wife, and she was very satisfied about it. The dinner resturant in the hotel was also very tasty and recomend it to everyone who wanted a course menu. Thanks to all the staff in the hotel!
