Suitehotel Posthoorn

We had a great experience at the Posthoorn hotel @Monickendam. Spacious, luxury and clean room. Beds where not to hard nor to soft and the price of our booking was very reasonable to stay in the vicinity of Amsterdam. Would stay here again in the future.

We had a superb stay here last week. 4 nights over the Easter weekend and everything was just perfect. The owners and employees are so kind and helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and generous (with gluten-free options and anything extra we wanted) and the location is amazing. The suite room was fantastic too - super comfy beds (including the sofa bed mattress which is unheard of!), lots of space and really quiet, plus a beautiful bathroom with a great shower. Room was even better than it looked in the photos! We could park easily and there are lots of fabulous restauratns within a 2-minute walk overlooking the water.

Amazing rooms, truly luxurious vibe. The people were also friendly. The reason for one star less is the breakfast. It just simply wasn't good. The eggs were not properly done (overcooked and therefore dry scrambled) and the quality of the products used (cheese, meats, bread) was very low. In line with pictures of previous reviews. To the owners: Don't cheap out, even if you get the average AH cheese, meat cuts and 'afbakbroodjes' you wouldn't hear me complaining. I'd expect better for the price you charge. I can recommend staying here, just go out for breakfast.
