Sultanhan Hotel Special Class

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and super nice. The breakfast with beautiful view each morning was soul soothing! The cleaning lady on third floor greeted everyday with beautiful smile and room was spic and span. Highly recommend the place if you are looking for good hotel.

Amazing location in old istanbul. We were walking distance from all the mosques, places, grand bazaar and spice bazaar. Their breakfast spread is great too. We went to some other well reviewed breakfast spreads too but liked theirs the most. Also, the view from the top floor is very good. You can see the blue mosque and Hagia Sofia. Rooms are not very spacious. The art work in the hotel is beautiful.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but I strongly urge you to inspect the mattress before settling in — ours appeared stained with something that looked like old blood. The room was full of mosquitoes, including many on the ceiling, making it extremely uncomfortable. Our first night was terrible. There was a loud party in the lobby with drunk tourists laughing and making noise until 4 a.m., and we couldn’t sleep at all. The front desk experience was mixed. The afternoon staff member, Diaa, was rude and unprofessional. However, the morning staff member was respectful and greeted us warmly every day, which we appreciated. Breakfast service was generally good — most staff were friendly — except for one woman who was noticeably unfriendly. I also saw a young staff member who was supposed to be doing the dishes rinsing his mouth and spitting near the clean dish area. It was extremely unhygienic and disturbing, though I didn’t mention it to my family to avoid ruining their morning.
