Summer Place by Distinctive Beach Rentals

Oldie but Goodie! I recently spent a week at the Summer Place Hotel and had a great experience. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and downtown restaurants and shopping. While I brought my own bedsheets for extra comfort (as I found their sheets a bit lacking during my last stay), the room rates remain very reasonable compared to other options in the area, which can be quite pricey and farther away. One of the best parts was the hotel’s parking—it’s much cheaper than the nearby meters, which charge an outrageous $40 per hour! Dan, the owner, is very nice and generous, making guests feel welcome. I hope he will still be there next year; it seems like Rehoboth is upgrading and prices are on the rise. I look forward to returning!

This is definitely our go-to spot in Rehoboth now. I just had a two night vacation with my cousin and we had a lovely visit. Being so close to the beach, we could come back and forth as many times as we needed to change or drop things off with ease. Walking up to the property you are greeted by a lovely garden with gorgeous sunflowers when we came in July. The owner was there to welcome us, let us check in early, and was very personable and friendly.

Room was small, smelly and disgusting. Rooms were not at all described. We only stayed one night because we came so late we couldn't get another place. Front door didn't lock and looked to have been broken down and pieced back together. Fire extinguisher had the pink pulled and was half empty. Can't recommend enough to stay away from this place. On line pics must have been from the 60's because our room was run down, moldy and disgusting.
