Stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it. Great food, clean rooms, and quick service. [Hotel Name] really knows how to make guests feel valued.
I stayed at Summit Tashi Ghang Heritage Resort for a night during my trip to Pelling. The place has a vintage vibe, but the rooms look quite old — honestly, they could use some renovation. There’s no elevator/lift to carry luggage, so we had to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. While the staff was helpful, it still felt a bit odd. The room was small for the price we paid, and the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I’d expect — the water faucet in the wash basin area was broken. We also found a few cockroaches in the room, which wasn’t a pleasant surprise. You can also hear voices from other rooms, so privacy is a bit of an issue. That said, the balcony view was absolutely superb — definitely a highlight! Breakfast options were good, and dinner was nice too. The staff were courteous and friendly. Overall, I’d recommend this place only for a day or two if you want to enjoy the view. Not ideal for long stays.
Extremely disappointing experience. Not recommended. We stayed at three different Summit North Star properties during our Sikkim trip, and unfortunately, the experience was consistently poor across all of them. Service? Practically non-existent. Staff were lazy, unresponsive, and seemed completely uninterested in doing their job. Any request was met with a standard response: “No, not possible” / “We’ll check” (and never followed up) / “We don’t have it.” There was zero effort to accommodate or even be polite. Food? Below average. Cold, tasteless, and served with the same disinterest as everything else. Not once did it feel like we were at a hospitality-driven property. Rooms? Just okay. Clean enough to stay in, but very basic and not even close to what they claim in pictures or descriptions. Definitely not worth the price. For a hotel chain operating in such a beautiful destination, the experience should be welcoming and warm but this was by far the worst hospitality I’ve experienced in a long time. in my opinion, avoid Summit Tashi Ghang if you want your trip to be memorable for the right reasons.
