Sun Maritim

I have read the other comments and I think people expect too much when they are on holiday. We did not expect our bed sheets or towels to be changed every day (I do not wash the bed sheets and towels every day at home either), we did not use the pool because if I am going to a seaside hotel and I want to swim, I walk down to the beach 10 meters and I swim in the sea. If I want to be in the room and in the pool all day, I stay in my hometown, much cheaper. Even if it is all inclusive, I do not eat or drink all day in every 5 minutes, and do not expect to have 50 different types of food and drinks available all day. One example, once they ran out of orange juice but they had also pineapple, apple and cherry juice so then I have chosen something from the remaining three. The hotel was perfectly fine (especially for this price), the staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast and dinner choice was big enough for us (10 different types of food every day). Many comments mention that there is an unpleasant smell in the rooms. The smell comes from the bathroom, from the tunnels, and it is not the hotel's fault. There is a window in every bathroom, so we left the window open and closed the bathroom door, and we did not feel the smell in the room at all. The only unpleasant thing for us was that every day there was a beach disco next to the hotel, and it lasted until 1-2am, and it was very loud. Luckily we brought ear plugs so that solved the problem. But without those, we wouldn't have slept until the music was over. We spent 7 night in Sun Maritim, and had a very pleasant holiday, so I would recommend this hotel.

This was my first visit to Turkey. I stayed at the Sun Maritim Hotel. When I reserved my room I saw after words that if you are to arrive after 9pm you need to notify the hotel. I sent several emails and used messenger. I never received any response. When checking in nothing was explained about the hotel. About the meals or to even give me the wrist band for the hotel. The wifi only work in the lobby and is not good. In room wifi and even towels for the pool and beach are extra cost. The room is very outdated. The bed and pillows were rock hard. The bathroom was very small. The shower door was missing. The sink was cracked. The air conditioning only works if the key card is in a holder in the room . Every time you leave there is no air. On their web site they say they speak English. This is not true and it was hard to communicate with the staff. The staff was helpful if you knew what they were saying. They did try! The food was terrible and it seemed the same at each meal. Dinner was from 7 to 9 pm. I was sightseeing and returned at 8:30 pm a couple of night. They were already putting the food away, clearing the tables and there was no silverware to use. The drink machine were already turned off too. I had to ask several staff for silverwareand they would just point to a empty container. After I was able to get food the staff kept trying to take my food away because they wanted to clean up . Even though it was 8:45 pm. Very frustrating. The music was so loud your room would shake from the bass. It was playing until very late. The beach was a mess from people leaving trash. There were not enough lounge chairs for the guest. They should let the guests know about the rocks in the water. I was very disappointed with this hotel. A 1 or 2 star at the most.

What to say? The worst hotel I have ever been to. I regret the money spent here. Avoid this place if you don't want to have a spoiled holiday. You will encounter arrogant and unfriendly staff here (except for one barman who I was happy to have here). The staff do not hesitate to make fun of you in Turkish and laugh in your face. They think you are stupid dogs. Gender doesn't matter, arrogance and no respect awaits women or men here. But women are air for men at the reception. There was a fight for food throughout the holiday, because no one refilled it during breakfast, lunch or dinner. Forget the drink. They have the smallest plastic cups that are made. Only beer, vodka, rakija available. Basic foods such as butter were missing during breakfast. Everything here is extremely economical. Also, be prepared for a big difference in the attitude of the staff in the restaurant and in the queue at the bar towards Turkish people and foreigners. Forget the gym, it's just a dark room and a few rusty dumbbells. The beach and sea here is nice, but again... If you want a sunbed on the beach, you have to get up early and block a sunbed, the capacity is very limited. The equipment of the rooms is very old, the walls are as thin as paper, it is possible to hear sounds from the toilets of the adjacent rooms. Housekeeping on the other hand does a good job. In conclusion, I would like to warn everyone against buying a holiday at this hotel. You will find better and not much more expensive hotels in the vicinity. Don't let a well-deserved vacation after your hard work be ruined.
