It was a wonderful stay at Sunderban resort.. and the rain made it more enjoyable. We just felt, there had to be one option of Indian food..may be limited..but atleast one. The restaurant serves only Italian cuisine. Other than this..it's the best place to relax. Since it was raining lightly, we had the pleasure of witnessing peacock 🦚...which was really a rare sight for us.

Not the best experience. I booked the high class room and there were many Cockroaches inside. The housekeeping said they would eliminate them but didn’t really do anything about it. On top the receptionist tried to trick me into even paying more. Even though I payed already.

Hugely Disappointed — Misleading Room Categories and Poor Management Response I stayed at this hotel a year ago and had such a lovely experience that I decided to return, this time booking a three-night stay. Unfortunately, the experience this time was completely the opposite — deeply disappointing, uncomfortable, and frustrating. First, no one informed me about the different categories of rooms when I made the booking. Despite trying to call the hotel over 10 times in the days leading up to my stay (to confirm a non-smoking room), no one answered. When I arrived, I was told I had been assigned a “Superior Room” — unlike last time, when I had stayed in a “Studio Room.” Strangely, there was no option to choose a room category during booking, so how would a guest even know the difference? The “Superior Room” turned out to be anything but superior: • Located in the old wing with outdated, run-down furniture • Dirty curtains, stained linen, and a strong smell of smoke and weed • No balcony or sit-out area • A filthy kettle, old AC unit, and ancient plug points that don’t even hold a charger • A dark, dingy feel, with iron bars on the windows and what looks like a converted storeroom attached • The linen didn’t even fit the bed properly As a solo female traveler, I felt completely unsafe and extremely uncomfortable in the room. When I raised these concerns and requested the type of room I had last time, I was told, “You didn’t book it.” But again, there was no such option given. I was asked to cancel the stay and move to another hotel — without any refund or resolution offered. Even after repeated calls and emails, the hotel management refused to respond or help. There was no accountability, no ownership, and zero customer care. I’m currently stuck in this room for three nights — and I regret every moment of it. My home is more comfortable and clean than this room. I’m sharing this so that others, especially solo travelers, can be aware of what to expect. Make sure to double-check what room you’re being booked into — and don’t expect much support if things go wrong.
