Sun Palace Wellness Hotel

Lovely classic-decor style hotel literally right next to the main drinking pavillion. I honestly have nothing to fault. Personnel was mostly kind and approachable. Most tourism here is German and Russian-speaking, so if you speak any of those languages you'll have an easier time (although a bit of English was spoken). Food was good for the price range of the hotel, I don't get people complaining! They even had Czech kolace in the sweets section! I visited in a period of quiet and loved it. Indeed their wellness area is a small sauna and small swimming pool (I'd say max 4-5 people can be in there) - but it's OK for low-capacity periods and/or if you time your visit to the wellness area according to when it's less busy (also, most people come here for the drinking fountains). I also managed to book an amazing massage for the same day. All in all, a place to be back to!

We have spent 4 days (New Year's 2023) at the Sun Palace Hotel; the hotel was excellent in every respect. The rooms are large and comfortable and well-appointed (e.g. quality furniture). The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel location is prime, right next to the colonnade and the view from our room was marvellous. The personnel were all friendly and helpful (we do not speak Czech, so we used German, French, and English). Our first evening we arrived late and they kept the restaurant open for us. This was typical of the excellent service. Breakfast buffet is copious and good. The Sun Palace was the ideal hotel for a mid-winter vacation.

A lovely hotel with friendly Russian staff. Rooms are nice and the location is great, right next to the spring water fountains and Pavilion. The "spa" is basically a small pool and a sauna for two people. Unfortunately the worst part is the very poor restaurant food. Badly cooked and low quality product, clearly a money-saving exercise which doesn't fit the elaborate decor of the hotel. I'd give 4-stars overall if not for the poor restaurant experience. Another tip I give is not to rip off customers in the bar. Prices are more than double those at nearby pubs and with no atmosphere (because nobody but my party was using it) it's an unattractive place to be.
