Sun Valley Resort

Sprawling beautiful well maintained resort with plenty of activities and shopping, surrounded by beautiful mountains and driving distance to the best outdoors idaho has to offer. Well decorated fancy ski chalet vibe. lodge rooms were immaculate, spacious, and well appointed with natural wood tables. Food was above average but not excellent.

Elegant and neatly cared-for grounds, on a sprawling estate, nestled in beautiful mountainsides within a greater valley. A beautiful river runs along side perfect for a meaningful picnic with loved ones. Dreamlike and peaceful with calm guests looking for scenic adventure and making good memories. Safe and clean roadways and bike paths. Clean and cared for busses always soon by to get you to town and back easily and effortlessly. A beautiful amphitheater with world-class sound quality and a large grassy area for summer concerts and entertainment. A large ice skating rink with entertainment all-year-round! Tonight is a fireworks show and ice skating show and it is 90+ degrees in July! Step away from one world and into a pristine welcoming environment where your memory will live on and represent the time you visited Sun Valley Lodge. Make good memories, in a safe and clean estate that wants you to have experiences you will not soon forget.

Me and my boyfriend were driving through yesterday and decided to stop by to check out the restaurants and shops, and to let our dog out as we had seen online that the resort is supposed to be very dog friendly. We were hoping to scope out the area to help plan our ski trip to Sun Valley which we definitely won't be doing now. Upon arriving, the resort was incredibly difficult to navigate, mostly due to everything being closed off for a 'private event' that was not advertised or posted anywhere online, which we definitely would not have stopped by if that bare miminimum communication had existed. All the nice restaurants were also closed, due to the event. Grassy areas where we could have possibly ran the dog were also closed off. Doggy bags nowhere to be found. Service was incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. I've been wanting to visit this resort for such a long time and we were very disappointed to be received so coldly. The one activity we attempted to do we were unable to get any clear directions on how to get to it, we just kept being directed to ask someone somewhere else. We drove down the road to Galena Lodge and spent our money there. If the entire resort is going to be shut down for a 'private event' is it really so difficult to put that on your website?
