We keep coming back to San Pedro and we always stay at Sunbreeze Suites. The rooms are very nice and the location is perfect, being central to many great over the water bars and ocean side restaurants but what really sets Sunbreeze apart is their service. This time we were there to celebrate a birthday and an engagement of some friends. On the special days the staff set up all the arrangements, coordinated with the companies for special treatment during a sunset cruise where our friends got engaged and on my birthday, well, they made it a birthday week. Every restaurant where they made reservations for us celebrated with us. 5 stars are inadequate for the type of service this facility provides. Front desk gets a special call out, but that is not to minimize the restaurant, security staff or housekeeping.
The staff was amazing, so friendly & warm. The food was excellent. The location was perfect for us. The view from our balcony was awesome, great place to have morning coffee or evening drink. Very relaxing. Highly recommend.
Sunbreeze Suites is a clean, mid-range all-suite hotel with apartment-style rooms and a small pool. The rooms are spacious and come with a full kitchen, which is super convenient—but make sure to stock up on water or drinks for the room. After 9 p.m., the on-site restaurant and bar are closed, and there’s nowhere on-site to grab anything. They do provide a pitcher of filtered water in the fridge, but we preferred bottled. When we checked in, a security guard walked us to our room and gave us a full little tour—which was unexpected, but kind of sweet and gave us a chuckle. The restaurant is quiet and didn’t seem like a hangout spot, but the food was good. The coconut curry chicken was great—we went back specifically for that dish. Just a heads-up: one morning the kitchen didn’t serve breakfast with no explanation. Thankfully, there are lots of good spots within walking distance. This side of the island (east side) isn’t really for beach lovers—water is brown, lots of boat activity, and the beach was covered in sargassum when we were there. Locals say it varies by season, but there’s no real swimming here. If you want that dreamy beach experience, head to the other side of the island—clear blue water, beach bars, and actual swimmable shoreline—but no resorts over there, so it’s a day trip. About 30 mins im golf cart but it’s a fun drive and an adventure and you can stay all day before venturing back. Overall, this is a good choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place in a great location near downtown San Pedro. Quiet, walkable, convenient, and not overpriced. We’d stay here again, but not forget to stock up on water bottles.
