It was really amazing. From the point we checked in until we checked out, everything was really good. The view from the resort was marvelous. My kids loved biking up the mountain. It was a total package. Will be back next summer to make new memories.
I’ve been wanting to ride the scenic lift for years, and I finally had the chance to do it with my dad. It was opening weekend, and we were both excited! Since my dad is senior who is visually impaired, I was a little anxious about getting on and off the lifts safely. But let me tell you, the staff here are incredibly accommodating. They walked me through how to signal to the lift operators if we needed them to slow down or stop the lift entirely. That simple guidance eased all my anxiety and allowed us to just enjoy the experience. Every staff member we encountered had an amazing attitude—warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy we were there. They made sure I understood the hand signals before moving on to the next lift, which I really appreciated. We were told multiple times, “Thanks for coming” and “Glad to have you here,” and every word felt sincere. This visit couldn’t have gone better. Thank you for helping my dad and me create such a special, unforgettable day. It’s a core memory I’ll cherish forever. 1000000% recommend!
Avoid Sundance unless you want a parking ticket for parking in the parking lot! We enjoyed our brunch but apparently spending over $300 on brunch and gifts for 5 isn’t enough to cover any parking costs. We were very disappointed to find that we’d been issued a parking violation by the resort for parking in a prohibited area, however, Sundance had failed to put up any signs or markings that would designate not being able to park there. Even though Security was able to issue the citation, we were unable to talk with anyone at the resort because the “parking department” wasn’t there on the same day we were issued a parking citation. The only way to pay or dispute any parking violations is exclusively through their website, which doesn’t work properly and makes the dispute process difficult all in hopes you’ll just pay the fine (of $75.) It’s evident Sundance is preying on people to just pay the fine rather than giving a fair chance to even talk to a human at the resort about the ticket. After this experience we will not coming back to Sundance. It’s quicker to park at peak times in other ski resorts in Park City than it is right now in the summer, and you get the added benefit of not getting a ticket. Parking is easier at other resorts, and valet parking at other ski resorts in Utah costs less than a ticket at Sundance. We spent over 15 minutes trying to park, and even tried to give Sundance more money by spending $20 for valet parking but nobody ever came to valet our car. Other reviews mention these same bogus tickets, and in those reviews Sundance has even admitted about lack of signage and markings yet refuses to make it right. It’s disappointing that four months after another review that mentions this same issue nothing has been done about this issue, and it’s clear Sundance expects guests to pay bogus parking fines to spend a day at their (expensive) resort.
