Sunday Hotel Near Petronas Twin Tower

I cannot speak for every room in the hotel as I only stayed in one, but the room we had was unequaled in my experience! With the balcony looking directly at Merdeka 118 Tower from the 31st floor it was always a pleasure to return to the room with its exceptional view. Much more than spacious accommodations in separate bedrooms with a huge living space and dining area. The kitchen was very nice but was lacking in utensils. Towels seem to be difficult to come by but eventually we were provided with them.

Beautiful property, room, pool, view, but everything else is a big thumbs down. They have new management, and they don't seem to know what they are doing. When I first checked in I was surprised how nice the room was, but then I started noticing a lot of little things that were not right. First of all, one of the instant coffees was so old that it was severely mildewed and all the crystals were fused together. Probably had been there for over a year. The other one was fine, so I made coffee. There was no spoon, so I had to stir with a butcher knife. The cable was not connected and they did not have the remote control in the room shown by instructions. The safe did not work. It was closed and locked with no power. The door did not automatically close. These are severe security concerns and this cost me dearly. When I went out sightseeing, I returned and my door was open. When I left, I discovered the next night that my secret stash of U.S. dollars were missing. It could only have happened at this hotel. I reached out to the hotel and Hotels.com to notify them of the crime. Sunday Hotel has not replied to any messages or emails from either myself or Hotels.com, which to me confirms their guilt. They could have at least offered sympathy and offered to look into the situation. I have made a police report with the local police. I would not recommend staying at this place until they upgrade their security and their customer service.

The air conditioning is still not cold. There was no room change for us either.To add one more comment, about the pool, all I can say is that its filtration system is very bad. It was completely impossible to filter, and the children's pool was filled with black unknown substances. There are cigarette butts in the adult pool. Very bad accommodation, previous good reviews, I suspect fake. Please do not make a reservation with this hotel.
