Sunlight On the Peninsula

I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Views were incredible. Breakfast was tasty. Rooms were clean and very modern. The grounds were well kept. Zoe was the absolute best and quite the cook too!! The location was not too far from downtown Kenting area where the night market is and very close to the lighthouse and other good attractions. If I’m ever back in Kenting, I won’t stay anywhere else but here.

My stay at sunlight on the peninsula was fantastic. The staff were welcoming and efficient, making check-in a breeze. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and high-quality amenities. The rooftop pool offered stunning ocean and mountain views, and the hotel provided excellent breakfast options. I highly recommend.

Before we arrived, we glanced at the reviews and noted SotP had an average of 5 stars. Surely it can’t be that good, we asked ourselves…? It is that good! Set in a beautiful location, the hotel has amazing views of the Pacific/Taiwan Strait. The room was lovely, spacious with high ceilings, a comfortable bed, free minibar, luxury shower and bath and a big terrace to enjoy the view. The star of the show here is breakfast however - there are four great options each day and the food was of very high quality, fresh and cooked perfectly. We also took up the option of the burger dinner one night too, and it was also delicious. The pool is nice too with stunning views, and there is enough parking for every guest. The location is a short drive from the national park, Kenting night market and Hengchun. A thanks to the staff too who were very friendly - over the four nights we were the only westerners here, but felt very at home and could communicate easily with the staff in English.
