Sunset Escape Cannonvale

We came for lunch quite late so there was not a lot of customers dining in. We both ordered steak. I had the eye fillet with vegetables and my partner had the rump with chips. We ordered food and drinks on the app. My Eye fillet was definitely overcooked but still very tender and the mash and vegetables were absolutely delicious. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his rump steak and had a huge plate of chips with it which was great to see when he doesn't order vegetables or salad. Food and drinks came very promptly and staff were lovely. Highly recommended.

Stopped in at the Reef Gateway for a “quick beer” — three schooners later I was contemplating buying a timeshare in Cannonvale and naming my firstborn "Caesar" after the glorious chicken Caesar salad I demolished. The sun was out, the beers were cold, and the vibe was somewhere between “Sunday session heaven” and “do I really have to leave?” Even the kids’ burger looked so good I briefly considered swapping meals with my child. Don’t judge me, you didn’t see that burger. Staff were friendly, the beers went down smoother than my weekend plans, and the food? Let’s just say if Gordon Ramsay tried that salad, he’d stop yelling for at least 30 seconds. Will definitely be back. Might even bring the kids again... or not.

Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Conveniently located, ample parking and in spite of proximity to the Hotel, it was not noisy. Easy check-in even after hours. Crockery, cutlery, tea/coffee etc provided. They even had a laundry room on site if we needed to use it. They were happy to accommodate our request for a ground floor room. We’re going back again on our way through as it was such good value for money.
