Sunset Marquis

A three acre oasis in W. Hollywood that exceeded all our expectations. Villas were comfortable, well amenitized, and provided everything we needed for a terrific stay. Sheets/towels above average, well-stocked toiletries and welcome amenities, great lighting, televisions, private balcony. Housekeeping friendly and comprehensive. All the staff knowledgeable and helpful. Special requests handled promptly and with care. Cavatina provided excellent cocktails, food, and service. Can’t say enough about this hidden gem!

This hotel is a hidden gem, just off Sunset Blvd, but you wouldn't know it. It was like walking into an oasis. I was there after a VERY long day and was quite tired. The staff at the front noticed and said I had a room by the pool, but they were going to give me a nicer upgrade to a very quiet room in a section of the hotel in the back. WOW. They didn't have to do that, and I had a fabulous quiet room and a great night sleep, thanks to Sandrine and Josh!!! And the next morning, Jessie at the front desk was great too. Everything here is first class, and I highly recommend.

Beware, the Sunset adds a $28 'hotel fee' on top of it's advertised daily room rate, and that's in addition to the West Hollywood 12.5% transient occupancy tax (TOT) and 3% TID Assessment tax. Hopefully, they'll use the money to update what is a dated hotel in a fabulous location. On the positive side, the staff are amazing and make up for a lot of the hotel's shortcomings. But seriously - $28 hotel fee? Business must be bad....
