Breakfast was very good, with food for Japanese people. Also, the food was better than the Japanese restaurant Koto Nippon on the first floor. I ate there for three nights. I could taste the udon broth and miso soup. It was authentic.
This hotel does not deserve a 4 star rating. If you are looking just for a place to stay, it's fine, but don't hope for comfort or amenities. The internet was very weak and cut in and out, the tv had so much static that it wasn't worth watching, and the bed was hard as a rock. I had 3 comforters under me and still woke up with back pain every night. The whole building needs renovations, and oddly enough there was a preschool office outside of the elevators on my floor, as if they are renting out hotel space to businesses. The breakfast they offered was also way below decent quality. I didn't trust most of the dishes offered, and the meat that I did attempt to eat was undercooked. The staff were definitely friendly, and from other reviews it seems the location is good, but there are far better places to stay in the same neighbourhood. I would never stay here again.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL My partner and I arrived at this hotel to check in. Everything was good, until we entered the bathroom. As I was about to step into the shower, a large steel object dropped from the roof and narrowly missed my head. All the rooms had extreme black mould that you could smell coming from the carpet and near the AC vents. As we are asthmatic, we weren’t able to last 1 hour before we refunded our booking and rebooked elsewhere. The staff were very nice and understanding, but considering that we had a near death experience, I would urge anyone reading this (who values their health) to book elsewhere.
