Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Beijing Wangfujing

Amazing hotel in the heart of Beijing with good access to everything you need as a tourist. The breakfast was fresh and tasty everyday. The service of the staff was also spot on in every department and the location is just on the middle of the city with all shopping centers and many restaurants around.

Spent one night at Sunworld Dynasty Hotel in Beijing while transiting to Xian. The front reception was friendly and efficient for check in. Upon arrival through a side door, we were first greeted by a staff member shuttling luggage for another guest. He immediately called out to a fellow colleague to come and assist my group with our luggage as well through the doors. I was impressed by their attention to surrounding details despite being preoccupied with other guests. Again upon departure, the team was helpful with information about the train station, ride hailing and departure loading. Rooms: -Nicely appointed rooms with a comfortable bed and relaxing rain shower. -The room lighting is thoughtfully designed with auto night sensor floor lights when getting out of bed to use the restroom. -Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries available in the shower -Bathrobes and towels were plush and absorbant -complimentary slippers -complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shower cap -Room safe in closet -Basic Mini bar with complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee -large flat screen tv -single chair and table; would have been nicer to have two chairs and sofa Location: Conveniently located around the corner from the Wang Fu Jiang pedestrian street. Good for designer brand shopping, souvenir shops and dome eats. The St Joseph’s Church is right behind the hotel so a nice spot to stop in to check out the church and capture some photos at the golden hour.

Stayed for a week, the room was nice and the service was very good. Location was perfect, loved all the shops and restaurants around. The main issue was the extra bed we requested for was essentially a foldable bed with a very thin layer of padding. We asked for extra padding but they didn’t have it, so our child ended up with a sore back after about 3 nights on this piece of rock. The extra cost was quite high for what it is, if I had known it’s so bad I would have just booked two rooms. Another issue is the hotel is currently under renovation so a lot of areas were closed off, and there are chemical smells in the hallways - luckily not in the rooms. Breakfast was very average, we ended up eating elsewhere after the first two days.
