Surf Haven

We have stayed here a few times. Always consistently good. Comfy bed, crisp fresh linen and fluffy towels. Beautiful breakfasts with a good choice on the menu, served with a smile by Peter and cooked to perfection by Caroline. They’re a great team, always so welcoming. I managed to break my foot whilst on holiday and stayed on the patio resting for a couple of days. Caroline took good care of me, providing pots of tea and homemade flapjack or some biscuits and company also. So grateful for that TLC. Oh I did I mention the jar of homemade flapjack in the rooms, replenished daily. Also each room has a fridge with fresh milk and filtered water. It’s in a great location too, a ten minute wander to Crooklets beach and around a 15-20 minute stroll into town. Fabulous place. Thank you for everything Caroline and Peter.

I am currently staying here and I am truly amazed by the level of customer service from Caroline and Peter. We were greeted by Caroline who kindly allowed us to check in late as we were stuck in traffic. She showed us our room (which is beautiful) and asked if we’d like any hot drinks. The room itself is immaculate, I genuinely cannot find one fault. The breakfast is exceptional - we felt as though nothing was too much trouble for these lovely owners. The location is also perfect with lots of parking and everything within walking distance. If I could give this place ten stars I would. We’d absolutely come back in the future. Thank you Caroline and Peter for the tremendous effort that’s clearly been put in to this place. The hospitality level is second to none.

Great location, just a quick walk to the beaches with beautiful views of Bude. Surf Haven B & B is on a quiet street away from the busy town, but just a short walk (10 minutes) to all the many of shops and Bude Castle, and 5 minutes to the beach and a walk along the coast to the town and many cafes and restaurants. There’s parking in the back driveway or on the road in front. The house is lovely and well decorated. Caroline and Peter run the best Bed and Breakfast with friendly greetings and look after you really well. The twin room we booked was overlooking the golf course. A beautiful spacious room, with everything you need, including homemade flapjacks. Comfortable beds, lovely white linens and big fluffy towels in the bathroom. In the morning they serve a delicious breakfast to you in the large dining room which is bright and welcoming.
