Surfland Hotel

We loved the location of this hotel! Overall the hotel was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. You can tell it is an older hotel that was renovated, especially with the bathroom, but in general the rooms were pretty nice. Breakfast was good and we loved the hangout area and pool/hot tub. Only negative thing that we weren’t a fan of was that there was no AC. Of course there is a cool breeze from the ocean so we just had to sleep with the door cracked open to keep air flow and it cooler in the room since we stayed during the summer. Would go back!

Rooms were great. Views were extra great. Price was bad. We must have booked late, so don’t make that mistake. Location is fantastic. Breakfast is alright. I don’t like sausage gravy. Too much reliance on sausage gravy☹️.

The staff are awesome - very courteous, prompt and helpful. The ocean view is great too. However, my concern is the lack of A/C. I was very surprised to find that - even while the high today was only 63 degrees - the sunlight still heated the room to at least 77 degrees. Without a ceiling fan, this was quite uncomfortable and I regretted our stay here (particularly at the rate we paid). I might recommend Surfland hotel during the fall/winter/spring, but beware of the missing A/C during July/August.
