We had a pleasant stay at Surmeli Hotel. The room was clean. Staff members are nice and helpful. Burak helped us at the front desk. Great service.

I’m currently staying at Surmeli Hotel, and unfortunately, it’s a very bad experience. The air conditioning in the lobby doesn’t work, and I had to inform the staff more than five times before they turned it on. The breakfast is very basic and not up to the standard you would expect from a five-star hotel. In fact, this hotel doesn’t deserve five stars at all. I honestly do not recommend staying here. Honestly, the employee Barak is professional and very kind.

It doesn’t deserve more than one star. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Istanbul and other countries, but this was by far the worst hotel I’ve experienced. The service is extremely poor, especially the receptionist, who spoke to us rudely and refused to help with our luggage, claiming there was no one available. How can a five-star hotel not have staff to assist with luggage? The rooms had a bad smell, and when we requested a change, the new rooms weren’t any better. The air conditioning initially emitted a foul odor, which later turned into the smell of the kitchen. The lighting in the rooms was poorly designed and unevenly distributed. Additionally, there was no heating in the lobby. I do not recommend this hotel at all. In my opinion, it does not deserve a five-star rating due to its subpar services.
