I think this is my 3rd time staying- in the summer. This time we stayed in the Tuscan Suite- our favorite by far! The decor and front door right on the main sidewalk and convenient to parking were perfect. So much room for my husband and I in the master suite (and Yes- I used the gorgeous copper tub!) daughter and son in law and grandchildren in the second room and my 21 year old daughter on the Futon in the living room. Pictures on the website do Not do it justice. Everything was clean...as it was on each of my previous visits over the past few years. And my daughter and I are very picky on that front-Very unique lodging- one of a kind- lovely views and a nice back porch with table/chairs and great place for your pet to lounge, too. Will definitely be back! And of course, right in the middle of one of our fav places to visit- Big Fork. Convenient to Flathead Lake, Kalispell and good places to eat. Almost forgot to mention- nice high ceilings which added so much to the spacious feeling!
We absolutely loved this quaint hotel. The view was beautiful of the lake. The room was the Safari room. The woman that I believe that owns it is truly the best hostess from making the bed to serving the most delicious dinner we had on our trip. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This place is an absolute scam. I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels across the country and have never experienced something this shady. I booked a room through Booking.com well in advance. I received a confirmation, had everything in place, and was looking forward to a peaceful weekend in Bigfork. But when I arrived at the Swan River Inn, they told me my reservation had been superseded by a walk-in guest. In other words, they gave my confirmed room away to someone else because they showed up in person. They offered no apology, no help, no solution. Just a shrug and a “sorry, you’re out of luck.” I was stunned. I wasn’t late, I wasn’t a no-show. I had proof of my booking. They simply decided someone else was more important—likely because they were willing to pay more. If you value your time, your plans, or basic human decency do not book here. They do not respect confirmed reservations and will gladly throw you under the bus for a quick buck.
