Sweet Chestnut Dunfermline by Marston's Inns

Four of us in a family room which was surprisingly spacious. Room was clean as was the bathroom which my 10yo was buzzing about because it had an actual bath in it. Breakfast in the morning next door was ok however the cooked breakfast came out very quickly and was on the cold side so obviously the pre cook and use hotplates or some such. We didn't mention the cold food due to time constraints so we just needed to eat and go. All in all a good experience for an overnight and the kids loved being in the leisure park and we went bowling and had a 5 guys for tea.

I fly to Scotland for work once a year and it’s nice knowing there’s a reliable hotel with nice rooms, easy parking and super friendly staff. The restaurant staff always make me feel welcomed and there’s a good variety of dishes on the menu. I do recommend going a level “down” on your steak (if you like medium rare, go for rare, etc)

Gave the restaurant a chance as Frankie and Bennys was closed. Was surprised and thought it was very decent. It’s not cordon bleu but solid pub food and enjoyed it. Had clearly benefited from the closure of the Brewers Fayre and it reminds me of a nicer version of that. Good for a quick inexpensive lunch/dinner.
